On the road and onlineThe Devon In Touch roadshow aims to connect rural communities by encouraging people who don't currently use the internet to give it a try and experience the benefits of going online. It also promotes County Council services and important public information initiatives such as CAREdirect and safety in the home.Instant
access to the world of information is being brought to rural communities
across Devon aboard a state-of-the-art vehicle specially-commissioned
by Devon County Council. Equipped with the latest technology, the vehicle
will give people in rural communities the chance to use the internet and
experience the benefits of going on line. They can also find out more
about County Council services and how to access them. The vehicle - funded
by Government IEG (Implementing E-Government) cash - also carries facilities
to enable BBC Radio Devon to broadcast live from remote locations.... |
