button Citizens Connect
Citizens Connect is an IT-led initiative that will enable Citizens Advice Bureaux to use new technologies to provide an improved service for clients, and a more efficient working environment for staff and volunteers. The two-year programme is being funded by Government to the tune of £20m.
button Now we are six
The sixth Better Connected report on council websites is bigger and better than ever, bringing readers a wealth of information. It finds council websites continuing to make good progress, one third of sites moving up the rankings over the last year. However, much remains to be done if councils are to meet the 2005 e-Government targets. Dave Thompson reviews the report and its findings.
button On the road and online
The Devon In Touch roadshow aims to connect rural communities by encouraging people who don't currently use the internet to give it a try and experience the benefits of going online. It also promotes County Council services and important public information initiatives such as CAREdirect and safety in the home.
