Bringing transactions online

How do you successfully promote online services and are they value for money? Phil Parker looks at Warwickshire’s pioneering work in the area of library book renewals.

Why do we advertise?

Every year Local Authorities spend a fortune with newspapers, bus companies and radio stations extolling the virtues of services. However, does this actually work and even if it does, are we getting the best value for money? What we all need is some hard facts to work with. Ideally we would like to see what other people are doing and then copy this, if it works.
